OEM 1973 electronic ignition 340 small block distributor #3656771 ....date code 38 2 so I think that it was made the 38th week of 1972...Not sure on that though....Definately from a 1973 340 though....could use bushings as there is some side play in the shaft........50.00 + shipping....postal M.O. works for me

I find it interesting that its got blue paint on it. Ive seen a few with over spray on them making me believe they were installed when the motor was painted.

Yeah, not sure the history of this..picked it up in a parts deal......Maybe it was in a motor when resprayed? Or maybe it is from the factory??....I never tried to use this but it looks like it has a new pickup coil in it.....I am thinking maybe they were having problems and changed the pickup coil and still didn't work so changed out the dizzy.....Actually it needs bushing and I think that was their problem....

They might have been installed when painted. If you look at a lot of factory stuff you'll overspray on a lot of things.
