Hi Folks

Is this the place to rant?:soapbox:

I just renewed my $50 gold subscription through Paypal........It's officially 50% now. It cost me $75 Canadian to get it done. I must say, it's money well spent as far as return for your money. But damn.......50%.

@Dan the man should come to Canada to buy a car.
 

If the Canadian dollar works out at an extra 50% I would hate to think what we are at here in Australia as currently we are running at 61.3 cents to the USD

Some of that has to do with the Paypal grab as well. When I buy from the US, I normally assume that the price to my door (in CDN funds) will be double the US selling price. It is what it is.......

LOL....I don't buy too much "nice to have" stuff very often any more that's for sure.

I think a lot of our cars already went south. So many of the local muscle cars have disappeared. A friend of mine does currency exchange and he has clients that make a fortune buying up the newer stuff and taking them south. The Canadian dollar is nearly back to what it was 20 years ago except parts have doubled! Hotels have also gotten expensive so we haven't south for a while now.

$450 CDN for one night waiting for our cruise to depart just last month. I said no way, but my wife.......well, you know. :)
