fiberglass lift off hood

Got a new twist here . I don't have much side room in my garage only 16 ft wide , with all my junk the hood has become a big hassell , there are no a body hinges on the car (68 form S fastback) , they were out of adjustment and I couldn't get them right .
Anyway , I`m in the process of installing aftermarket alum. hood hinges and using the lift off hood as normal .
Anyone ever done this ? If so I wouldn't mind any comment , taking a lot of thot on this one !!!
