Flip or Flop

Having retired a few years back, the local farmers have found a place to stop in, jaw a little and bring their problems along for me to fix. A couple of months ago I have worked on the chainsaw for a farmer up the road a spell, and wanted to know if I would be interested in buying a buggy. His intent was to convert this into a sprayer of sorts to spot weed problem areas. Well what the heck didn't want to be impolite, I followed him back to his property and at least see what he had.Nestled in the back corner of the machine shed layered under countless seed corn sacks was this contraption. I tried to burn as much info as my eyes could mustered up, and told him I would get back to him the next day. I love the inter-web, a HMV Freeway, made back in the day when a gallon of gas was at its highest. Next day we struck a price and I trailered the three wheeler home. I knew this was a flip I could double or triple my money back. Having purchased my Dart recently, I needed to let go of my 65 Barracuda this hard to do,having one back in my high school days, I hated to see this go. I needed the money, the Dart I knew needed tires, gas tank, carb, brakes, and a lot more just to get it derivable. So I listed the HMV and the Barracuda on the CL, it's free and local. The HMV sold two days later, the guy couldn't load it on the trailer fast enough and paid me in cash, flip. The cuda was a tough sell, I even lowered the price several times, well eBay time. The cuda had an over whelming amount of hits, a very low reserve and plenty of “spare parts” to go with. Didn't sell, a hundred dollars short of being sold, oh well the car doesn't eat much it can sit. The next day, a guy emailed me through eBay asking me if I still had the Barracuda, I did, and he wanted to see it and drove up, he was only a hour away. Asked if he could drive it down the road, he did, asked what I wanted, I said the reserved price that I was asking for on eBay. A price was reached, his son loaded up their truck with the extra parts and he drove the Barracuda back home. You know what I say, heading to town to pick out some tires for the Dart......If you got to know the cuda sold for three bills more then the HMV.
