I have a 1960 dart that needs new floor pans. The issue is the gas pedal mount if rusted and needs to be replaced with the floor. The pedal is mounted to a raised area of the floor and my pans are just flat sheet metal. Does anybody have an easy way to raise the pedal to mount it as original. I had thought about building a raised area on top of the floor pan and mounting like that but am not sure the best way to do it. I dont know how it would work if i mounted it to the flat floor but I dont think it would work well.

Thanks for any suggestions

You could make a pattern and try to fabricate a piece similar to the one you are needing to replace, but it would be pretty difficult. If you could post some pictures it would help too. The best way would be to find a donar car that you can cut that area out and section it in.
