I am going to be putting this Motorcraft carb on my slant.
The issue is this - I have found info that this model was 280 - 360 cfm. The number to which size is supposedly stamped on the side of the fuel bowl. there are NO #'s stamped on it at all! Does anyone have a clue how I can determine what size this is?

The venturi size should be in a circle on the side of the carb, possibly hidden by linkages or brackets. There's a photo of where to look here. Info on available sizes is here (scroll down; not all the clickable FAQs are actually clickable).

If the number is obscured, blasted off by past abusive cleaning in a "remanufacturing" operation, or otherwise illegible, do you have a Ford number stamped or tagged on the carb you intend to use?

Look on the driver side of the float bowl. Should be number in a circle. These are the published flow rates.

bore size=cfm

.98 = 190
1.01 = 240
1.02 = 245
1.08 = 287
1.14 = 300
1.21 = 351
1.23 = 356
1.33 = 424

Dang it Dan beat me to it.

THANKS!

There it is right behind the accelerator pump linkage! 1.21 - I knew it was big enough to feed my 225, but somehow it's comforting to know the actual size. Thanks again!
