Post some pics of the rear and the pieces that you found. It's quite possible with some gentle massaging and welding you could fix the hole in the housing.
It's also possible to rebuild the center section, there are a few steps to follow but it can be done. If you don't have the tools or the facility to do it a good shop should be able to.
