fuel sump - needed or not?

Anyone running a carb/turbo set up without a sump?

i reckon the idea is to have all the fuel going into the sump on a hard launch right at the pick-ups. you wouldn't want to be lean at the time, so why not add one.

I agree. It's not tough to do, but I was curious if anyone runs without it.

The Buick GNX cars were 10 second cars with slicks and a chip and they didn't have a sump.
