I want to start painting my car parts so I was going to heat up the garage with my Reznor Gas Powered Infrared heater. Once I got it up to temp I was going to turn it off and paint some parts.

Once the parts are painted I was going to open the garage door to air it out. How long do you think I have to wait before I fire up the heater again? I am trying to avoid and explosion!!

Thanks,

I would not recommend you use any sort of open flame or infrared heater near paint fumes, better to be safe than sorry. Northern tool sells a nice little electric heater that hangs from the ceiling. I have had one in my garage for 10 years and it works great for painting. They run under $200

Very good point Tincup!
Also make sure you have somekind of moisture (air dryer) on your air compressor line, moisture does wonders to paint.
