When: Saturday, Sept 21, 2013 - 11:00 to ? - Rain or Shine

Where:
New Hope United Church of Christ, 3404 Cumberland Highway, Meyersdale, Pa. Route 160 between Wellersburg and Berlin, ½ mile south of the old Rainbow Lounge and about 2 miles north of the Twin Churches. See directions below.

General:
Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the Mopars and good times at my cruise-in. This is the 8th year for the event. Come out, display your Mopars, eat, chat with other Mopar folks, relax and have a great time.

This year I would like to build on the parts aspect of the event. So if you know of anyone who likes to sell MOPAR parts, crafts, etc. please let them know and ask them to participate. There is no set up fee. I may have a quiet disc jockey along as well at this year’s event.

The event is still located at the same place as the last 5 years near Meyersdale, PA at the New Hope Church.

I will most likely have event items for sale. (Tee shirts, hoodies, etc.) Please check under the pavilion if you might be interested. If you know you would like to buy event shirts/hoodies ahead of time, please let me know so I can have them ready for you.

A ‘Donation to Gene’ box will be provided if you would like to make a monetary donation to help cover the costs of the outing. Please do not feel obligated. This is a non-profit event. There is also a donation box for the church. I have already compensated the church for the use of the facilities, but you can donate to the church if you wish.

Cruise in participants:
(Mopars and/or covered dishes) Please cruise into the church lot and be prepared to spend a great day with plenty of Mopars, lots of food and lots of fellow Mopar friends. Also, don’t forget to ask your other Mopar friends to attend and bring their cars and trucks too and don’t forget your family as well. We try to keep this event a family oriented event.

The barbeque is mostly intended for cruise-in participants. However, anyone can participate if they want. To participate in the barbeque, just bring a covered dish, dessert or any food item you would like to share with the other participants. If you like it, most likely someone else will. That gets you and your family in the barbeque.

I will provide: Cooked meat (chicken, hamburgers, sausage, bacon, hot dogs, etc), buns, soft drinks, eating utensils, plates, cups, napkins, condiments, bathroom facilities, seating, pavilion, etc.

There is a large paved parking lot and a neatly groomed grass yard to contain all the cruise-in Mopar cars and trucks! There is a large covered pavilion for the food part. There is plenty of seating for eating and a small playground for the kids as well. Please bring your own chairs if you would like to sit out near your cars.

Please, upon arriving at the cruise-in, please come up to the table under the pavilion and register your vehicle. We will be giving away some door prizes and we want to make sure we have everyone’s name. Also, it helps me to build up a good list for mailing out future event notices.

If you plan on attending let me know so I have enough food and drink. Please respond by 9/18/13. Email Gene (me) at geno440@yahoo.com or call me at 814-634-1706 (home) - 814-279-9004 (cell). Please let me know the number of cars and the number of people for the barbeque.

Spectators:
Please come and browse through the collection of Mopar vehicles that will be on display at Gene’s 8th Annual Mopar Car Cruise. Separate parking will be provided so that you may go for a walk, see the Mopars and enjoy the day. (See attachment)

Parts Swap Vendors:
Please check in with someone at the pavilion when you come so that we can get your name and address and we will tell you where to park and set up.You can participate in the barbeque if you would like. Please bring a food item and join in with us.

Please:
  • No alcohol will be allowed on the church grounds
  • No burn-outs in the church parking lots, but route 160 is fair game.
  • Watch your mouth, there will be young children and we will be on church grounds.
  • Please leave the church grounds as neatly as you find them. Pick up any trash you may see.
