that it is....Ernie went down to AZ 6-7 weeks or so ago. Came home, and like every previous trip she has made got sick. Normally it is just a bit of a cold. This time she ended up with what started out as an ear infection, draining down her throat causing a sore throat. Doc gave her some anti-biotics. Helped a bit but did not chase it away. Seen him last week, no more fluid in the ear yet she is still having troubles. It is affecting her hearing, so we now have to turn the TV WAY up and I damn near need to scream at her. The sore throat has moved on but the rest of it is hanging in there. She has an appt to see the ENT but it is not for a couple of weeks. And of course Ernie does not see the connection between her trips and every time she comes back getting sick.....:banghead:

I travel pretty often for my work. Fly around the country for work and I'm just fine.

But fly back to Jersey to visit the grandkids and I'll come home with a cold every time.
And its always the 2-3 week version.

hope she gets better soon

I lived in Phoenix and Houston, and those two cities are #1 and #2 in the U.S. for ear nose and throat Infections. Smog, dust, and cold bugs that don't die because of the temps. Every time I go to Phoenix I come back with a bad chest cold, if I stay longer than a few days.

Her immune system is in the crapper....from having a few different connective tissue disease and the meds she on to treat them....

I.J,a good bike ride.......

The bike...it is back on the jack with a sheet over it....rewired it, fired up on first hit of the starter. What little there is worked. Rode it up & back on our dirt road, good to go. Next day went out to start it again, no left blinker. Had to take the rear tire off to get to the wiring. Found some knucklehead, that would be I, pushed the wire too far into the weatherpack connector prior to crimping. I crimped it onto the insulation. Fixed it, fired it up...all is well.....got busy rearranging the things in our barn, aka house if you choose to call it that. Nice overcast warm day decided to take it to town to get some pup toys. Jacket/back pack/helmet on, turned the fuel on.....looked like Niagara Falls.....float stuck.....enter the knucklehead again.....several years back I took the air cleaner out to see if it had a K&N filter, which it did. There is a pair of banjo bolts threaded into the cylinders, they act as a crank vent....well knucklehead overtightened them....both of them broke but stayed together..in order to get to the rear couple of float screws I need to take the carb off so I have no choice but to dela with the banjo bolts...I have way too much to deal with right now to deal with this thing....going to take it apart sometime soon to see what parts I need to get.....

But it might not matter, I have had this weird spot on my face. Looks EXACTLY like the skin cancer that was on my arm did at it's onset. Going to see the dermo in a week or so....if it is the dreaded skin cancer again doubt riding the bike, with my face exposed, is going to be a good idea. The thought of a bandanna did enter my feeble brain but last time I tried that got a bit claustrophobic behind it....aint like the pup is not keeping us busy....she is down right entertaining. She figured out how to bark yesterday....and growl....Had her out last night and could not help but laugh at her....it looked like she was trying to perform cpr on some rocks...
