On my '68 Barracuda I have the glove box door that has the push button release. If I push the button it will release the latch, but the door doesn't pop open or fold down. I have to push the button and pry at the edge to be able to open the door. For the time being I put a small fabric pull on the side so that I can open it a little easier, but I can't imagine this is how it's supposed to work. If I could get the car to do constant wheel stands, it wouldn't bother me cause the door would fall open on its own, but sitting level it doesn't move. It's like unlocking a door, but having no handle. Any ideas?

Mine did the same thing. The little rubber bumpers were missing. There are a wide variety of them a junkyards on glove box doors if yours are missing.

The latch disengages just fine and the hinges move freely. My little rubber bumpers are still there. However, they don't feel like rubber - they're pretty tough. Maybe some new ones or slightly bigger ones with a little give would help. I found a new pair on Ebay for a few buck that I'm going to try.

You can add some of the clear plastic bumpers that they use on cupboard doors. I used those on console lid to stop vibration.

That is usually caused by the latch dragging on the part it latches to.
Try adjusting that, and it may even be necessary to tweak it a little.
