Anybody know of a good deal on a mechanical fuel pump for a SB making 500 ish hp? Been looking around and I'm not finding many mechanical pumps good to that hp level.

..............I have a Carter HP pump #6902/H08C........will that work 4 u ..........I was told at the time i bought it that it would easily support 450 hp......was going 2 use it on a nos application.........check it out.....kim......

That's the one i have now and it's running out of fuel at about 1100'. I've got all new 3/8" lines with no sharp bends and a real good high flow/low restriction filter. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge in the pass. compartment to monitor it down the track but I have one on the regulator and it shows 6-7 lbs. idling so it seems to be doing what it's supposed to be doing. I'm kinda surprised cause I thought it'd be plenty for my mild application.
