Head bolts or studs?

Is there any big disadvantage to using head studs on a small block?

Can you get the heads on/off with the engine in the car? Say, 70-72 Duster with no power brakes?

I find the studs better then regular bolts. I think you get a better clamping load.(esp if you plan to use NOS) Also if you have freshly bored cylinders you'll have less distortion in the cyl walls. BT

I run ARP head studs on my small block '70 duster and need to remove a few of the studs to get the heads off...
