If any more numbers would help just let me know which and where to find if known. Thanks

Tried the search with other keywords as well

Doing a forum search netted zip as well

I was just coming back to make a post, yes........3640081..........225..........727..........truck, long, heavy duty

Found here if that helps anyone else http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=3220758

Heavy duty, does that really mean any difference over another 727, I ask cause I am going to have it gone thru, should I be getting a heavier set of clutch packs ect, maybe I need to clarify this with the re-builder

tranny was built on monday july 16 1973,and was the 3324 unit built at that plant, which is the Kokomo plant, mrmopartech

For $650 carry-in, he should include heavy duty clutches and a shift kit. My trans guy does for less....

My guy uses the "Blue Line Friction" clutches for me as they are heavy duty.

Maybe I should call around then, I am sure like mentioned above that alot has to do with location

"Heavy duty" usually meant is holds more clutch plates (4 vs. 3 in light duty units) and it probably has the 4 pinion planetary gear sets whereas the lighter duty units had 3 pinion sets

watch what you get rebuilt, the 383 2 bbl is only six pinions total, not seven. 383 four Barrel is seven, roadrunner and superbee is eight.very marginal but Important.
