I ordered a TF727 torque converter from Edge Racing. I also ordered a B&M flexplate. Neither the TC or flexplate have the starter ring teeth. Am I missing something? Does someone make a flexplate with starter ring teeth. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

ringgear should be on torque converter. You got the wrong on. Most likely one for a GM

I think I answered my own question. Mod5V, I think you are right about the GM converter, but I found a few companies that make a Chrysler 130 tooth flexplate that fits GM converters. It would have been nice if the guy at Edge would have told me this up front. Guess that's why the price was so good, its a GM part. At least its not a Furd part!!!

Can anybody confirm this?

Man, I'm a double moron. One, because I just realized that the Chry to GM flexplate is for using a GM tranny with a Chry engine. The other reason......well here's the whole story. I ordered two converters from Edge, one for the 727, one for a Hemi truck. I opened the smaller box, thinking 9.5" converter and there was no starter ring so I jumped to conclusions. I emailed Edge and they called me back within minutes and we got everything sorted out. I was looking at the truck converter, which is actually the larger of the two. After opening the other box, I found the 727 converter with starter ring.

I can't speak for Edge's product yet, but I would recommend them just for their customer service and price. I got the two converters, the 727 being a custom 3200-3400, for just over $1000. Check them out at EdgeRacingConverters.com.
