High all again ... Post #2 today -

Learning more and more about Gen2 Bcuda's. Now that we are down to the interior stage, I've noticed/realized there is a big difference between '67 and '68 bucket seats. Though we are building a '68 convertible, we are interested in the '67 seats, given we see them as classier with their metal detail. I've attached a couple photos to point out the difference between the two types.

My question ... Does anyone know where to source the '67 metal trim detail and back panels? Also, any possible issues fitting them to a '68 frame?

The stainless trim is easy to remove and refinish . The seat backs are metal with a vinyl covering which can also be recovered . You will probably see dents in the seat backs from years of use but just repair as any metal refinishing.

Seat tracks from 68 can be made to fit the 67 seats.

That is what I took out of my car and replaced with the correct 68 seats.

Thanks for pinging me back. So I take it that a '68 frame will not accept the '67 trim or seat backs?
