Help with hood hinge

Ok, driving my demon yesterday and i hear a bang and look around and open the hood and the drivers side hinge spring came loose? Is there an easy way to fix this, i am guessing the pin came off and the spring let loose...Thanks 71 demon...

I would imagine you are going to have to pull the front fender to fix it. Not good and no fun.

You could try pulling the inner splash shield first (most likely the screws are covered with undercoat). Slide the center of the spring back on it's post. Use a small hose clamp on the post to keep it from sliding off again. Then, muscle the hooked end of the spring back over its post.

You can do it through the splash shield. I drilled my bottom pin for a hitch pin and shimmed it with washers.

Hood open. There'll be a little less tension on the spring that way.
