hi guys, Is anyone running a driver's B-body HP manifold with a 4 speed? I have bought Accurate's custom 2-1/2" headpipes to use with the 69 B-body manifolds, which requires a "modified' B-body Z bar located back about 3" (against the firewall) and ballstud directly into the bellhousing threaded hole- like a B/E body.
Before I go hacking, does anyone have an exact measurement of the Z-bar after mods. There is 9-1/2" between the bell & frame rail in the Cuda. A b-body bar is 9" plus the frame ballstud at 1-7/8" when pinned, so yes, the Z-bar has to be shortened.
Just thought I would ask before going at it:burnout:
Looks like taking 5/8" out of the bell side will do. And of course fabbing a longer plate for the clutch pushrod on the Z-bar.
