Hot to check clutch disengagement measurement with blow proof bellhousing

I don't think with your ability to adjust clutches that you're going to put that much on an eight and three quarter, but I built a Dana for the same price or cheaper and had more.
I'm thinking about a D60 but do you think a 13.75 second A body really needs it? I just dig the cool factor.

Personally my experience is with a three-and-a-half second car I'd leave that 8 and a quarter right where it's at. My 8 1/4 took everything my 318 had up to13.7. Then it lasted behind the Stroker motor for quite a few months of drag racing. Then I figured I better build an eight and three quarter before that thing blows up which it never did. Bought all the best parts and had it professionally set up and blew that eight and three quarter in less than 30 passes. again leave that 8 and a quarter where it's at it's lighter and probably stronger from my experience.
Hell, I have to get rid of the 8.25 just to step up to the 8.75
