There was 89k on it, I'm going to change the timing chain set, pull the valve covers and go from there. I am also going to have to change the pan So when I pull it that should tell me a lot. I'd like to just do a cam and the intake manifold and run it for now. That's a good deal. Any idea of how many miles are on it?
What are your plans for it?
Best part is it was on marketplace 15 minutes from my house, I really wanted a 5.9 magnum but couldn't find one. So now I'll probably have an eddlebrock magnum intake manifold for sale still in the boxYou did well. LA 360's rarely, if ever come up for sale in my neck of the woods. I used to trip over them for $50 all the time, but those days are gone!
I'm hoping I can keep stock heads for a bit, hoping a timing gear set. Cam, 4 barrel intake and headers and run it like that for a bit. Time will tell when I pull the oil pan and see what the bottom end looks like. I may pull the heads as well and really inspect.oh yeah great buy don't know what his plans are
looks like my 88 w250 engine ,small cam ,intake she ran good
Hoping just a 4 barrel intake, timing chain set, and cam for now but we'll see when I pull the oil pan how the bottom end looks. I may pull the heads too and see if they are worth using.its got secondary air yuck
what you doing to her
That looks really good!!This one started out life in a 76 RV. Got it 15 years ago when I turned 18. Put a Mopar purple cam in it and headers and ran it that way for probably 5 years and had a ton of fun. It’s on build #3 and a little different now. You got a good price.

Do you think I should pull the heads or just pull the valve covers and see how they look from the top and if the bottom end looks good replace the springs, cam timing chain and run it. If the bottom end looks good and not like a disco partyYou'll know when you take it apart.
Depends on what you're trying to do with it. Are you willing to give it shot as-is, or do you want to ensure it'll run well?Do you think I should pull the heads or just pull the valve covers and see how they look from the top and if the bottom end looks good replace the springs, cam timing chain and run it.
