How do I add a link to a thread ?

I'm having a problem getting a link to open in a thread. Specifically an ebay link. Will someone please explain how to do this ?

Open a separate browser window & go to the auction.

Highlight the text in the browser window, then on your keyboard hit two buttons at the same time - Ctrl & the letter C.

Then, in the thread here hit the Ctrl button at the same time as the letter V.

Highlight the url of the auction, right click, click copy with a left click, go to the FABO page, right click and paste using left click.
