Seems simple, but I'm coming up with 2.125" and everything I've read seems to suggest it's 2.36" or 2.50". It's a small bolt pattern 8.75 A-body rear-end. Was there ever a 2.125" flange?

I was using a straight edge from the axle flange (flush side where the wheel seats) to the outside of the bearing retainer (the side that seats against the axle housing). My axles aren't 28" either. They're 27.75". Is this weird? The axle pilot is about .25", but I'm pretty sure that shouldn't be included in my measurements.

OA length (tape) on a spare axle I have is approx. 27-3/4",spline end to outside face of the flange.
I have some Moser axles and they are right in that area as well.
A quick measurement from the outside face of the retainer to the BACK side of the axle flange a about 1-1/2" on both axles.
Both of these have the tapered bearings.

Brake offset is measured from the outside surface of the axle flange to the end of the housing.

The bearing retainer does not seat against the housing. It seats against the brake backing plate, which is 1/8" thick.

Unfortunately, companies such as Wilwood have never figured this out and have never listed the correct dimensions for Mopars.
