How to measure drum size?

How do I know if I have 9 in or 10 in drums by measuring from the outside (tire removed)?
66 ddart 270 Slant six.
Going to redo all brakes next week. Hope to order the stuff ahead of time.

You can look for "Max Diameter of 9.06 or 10.06" stamped on the outside of the drums...It might be difficult to see, but it should be there....

You have to measure the inside diameter of the brake drums.
