Hey guys!

Im Pat, Im from southern Oklahoma.
Lifetime Mopar enthusiast.
Got two boys that im hoping my project cars will get them hooked as well!

Im already a member over at ForBbodiesonly, cause my first project was a 1968 Sport Satellite w/440 that I picked up out of south Mississippi about 3 years ago and have turned it into a reliable cruiser!
I just bought my first Dart and decided to join this group as well to share content and ask questions along the way.
My new addition is a 1969 Dart Custom with Slant Six that I picked up last week in Burleson, Texas.
The car is absolutely the most solid project Ive personally ever seen. Minimal damage. Solid floors, quarters, fenders, and trunk.
Literally cannot believe my luck.
I only found one pinhole in the roof from vinyl top holding water.
The car has had some kind of accident at some point, and has a ‘68 fender and grille. Which is totally okay with me. That can be changed anytime.

Having a Dart has been a lifelong goal since I was a kid.
My Dad got me hooked on Mopars from his stories of street racing and running from the local small town police.

His car was a 1969 Dart GTS with 340 in B5 blue. He had it about 5 years and was sold around 1987. No clue what happened to it.

My plan is to turn this Custom into a GTS clone and swap in a 383 thats sitting in my garage with the goal is a hot street car. Im sure I’ll have plenty of questions along the way and would appreciate any help or advice!
I’m going to include a photo of my car and fender tag if anyone can help me decode it. R6 Charger Red I believe?
Thanks! -Pat

Thank you sir!
We’re surviving. Fighting power outages from the high winds but I believe we will make it!
I have family in Jacksonville, AR.

383 is the plan, think it will fit better than a 440 will. I have a 67 block, forged crank, and 452 heads. Gotta find some rods/pistons. Im thinking 280/484 purple cam for nostalgia sake? Unless someone can convince me of a better idea.
