HP increase with summit 6401 cam

any estimate on what this cam might add over stock on my '68 with 4bbl summit dbl pumper (600 I think) and edelbrock performer intake manifold? thnks
 
they are calling mild racing cam -

Camshaft Manufacturers Description: Fair idle, good midrange power camshaft. Requires 9.5:1 and higher compression, 2,000+ stall, and gearing. Good mild bracket racing cam.
 
That's a damn good grind. Almost the same as the Crane Magic cam. It should be a screamer in the right engine, but since you didn't include that info, I have no frikkin clue.
 
well....I'd say see avatar pic but the 383 is hard to read - of course I should have mentioned motor - my bad.

I have run several in otherwise stock 383's. Couldn't tell ya about horsepower differences, but they always ran good with just a hint of lope.
 
well thanks - good to know. just after any kind of ball park estimate for this type cam upgrade.
 
gave some basic info and asked summit - we'll see what they have to say.
