I've disguised 340/360 engines as 273 Commando (Charger) 's a number of times over the years. I never went to the point of being truly stock appearing and was going for that with my 1966 V100. I worked with Hughes to come up with this very custom hydraulic roller grind for a late 360 LA (1990) using the factory 273 intake and exhaust manifolds. Port matching the manifolds is part of it but the restricted flow is a given. The front cover and water pump configuration were planned as 273 as well. It won't perform to the level of a hot 360 but it well definitely be shocking for a 273. Store that factory original engine on a stand and have some fun!

Five years ago it cost me $450 and a two month wait. You won't get a custom Hughes cam near that these days. I'm asking $400 plus shipping from 81122
