installing autometer electric fuel gauge

-
Take a wire from the gauge sender lead on over to the fuel sender and plug it over the stud. I ran new wires instead of tapping into the stock wiring. You'll notice that gauge is actually 'accurate'. Which kinda sucks because it moves around with the fuel (as in going down the road). I can literally hit the throttle on 3/4 of a tank and i'll hit 'E' lol

I applied power to my Autometer gauges the other night (they look awesome lit up) and found the the fuel gauge reads 1/4 full. Now that I don't get. I've got a new sender in a new empty tank and I know the sender calibration is correct (I have about 76 ohms at the dash through stock wiring) along with the correct gauge (Ford/Chrysler).
