Hello Everyone,

I hope this little post finds all of you well in these unprecedented times. I wanted to introduce myself and say that I'm excited to joing FABO!
I'm in my late 30s and I've always been into cars since I can remember. Love all types of cars, classics, European and even some JDM. But my heart belongs to American Muscle, preferably mid 60s to the early 70s(u know the good years lol). I reside in Los Angeles California, been here all my life and only know the crazy city life with it's never moving freeways and no parking in every street HA!

But aside from that, I'd like to share and mention that I've recently became the CareTaker of beautiful 1968 Dodge Dart 270 with a healthy /6 and console 3 speed trans, basically all stock. Luckily she runs and drives, some dings here and there, and just a little rust on the passenger side floor ans on the driver side rear well(dog leg?) The patina she has is amazing and i couldn't pass on this deal. Interior is on my opinion 6/10, which is a good baseline. I'll post a few pictures of her and I'll definitely appreciate any input, comments, and/or suggestions from any of the members on here.
I'm no master mechanic, but more of a weekend warrior. Definitely learn from being hands on and I definitely want to give my Dart more life and keep her going for many more years to come.

Thank you all that took time out of your day to read this, and again, I'll appreciate any input from you guys.
Have a great weekend and I'll also be reaching out here in FABO with some questions regarding this build!

Welcome from Kansas. Sweet car. 68-69 are my favorite Dart years. Thanks for posting good pics. The car looks pretty good. I'd love to see a picture of the console 3 speed. I have seen A bodies wit a3 speed on the floor and a 3 on the tree, but never a 3 speed in a console. I, for one, have learned everything I know how to do by just doing it. I have been painting cars for about 45 years. I am pretty good at it. My only training was a guy showing me how to adjust the gun. I have learned body work, welding building engines and transmissions, etc all by reading in a book and just doing it. My point is that with some effort (and YouTube), you can learn a LOT on your own. Don't be afraid to dig in. This site can be a wealth of information if you have questions.

Hey @harrisonm,

Thank you for the warm welcome....I appreciate it.
And you're completely right, getting hands on and just trying is the way to learn things. Thanks for sharing a little bit about you as well :)

And my apologies, I want to clarify...I meant to say that my Dart has a 3 speed Column shifter.
My apologies.

Thats a great year and looks to be really solid for its age. Surface rust is easy to take care of. The other can be cured too!! No need for the $10,000 body shop!!!
You can do it!! Oh yea,,,welcome!!!!
