I’m looking to buy some more PPG DX520 Metal Conditioner but I’m having difficulty finding it online.

Does anyone know if this stuff is still available?

Thank you

It shows as discontinued but there are similar products like POR15 Metal Prep.

'DX-520 Metal Conditioner is a phosphoric acid based coating chemical that will produce a zinc phosphate coating on galvanized or steel surfaces. DX-520 Metal Conditioner contains a small amount of detergent which aids in the removal of light soils and promotes the formation of a uniform zinc phosphate coating. DX-520 Metal Conditioner is pale green in colour and may turn darker over time. '

Twin Etch from NAPA is pretty much the same. I have used it on bare metal that is going to sit for a bit and it works well. It shows out of stock at NAPA at the moment though. :(

When I Googled it, what came up as out of stock was a gallon of it. The price on a gallon is :realcrazy: ! I always bought it in quart bottles. Maybe your NAPA guys will have better luck with an internal search.

I would imagine Ospho is pretty much the same thing. Under $50 a gallon on Amazon . Available in quarts as well.
