I had to replace the head on my jeep and noticed that the springs are beehive type. has anyone checked to see if these are a viable replacement for the 318 mag springs? I have the old head so as soon as I get time I'm going to mesure installed hight and retainer/ keeper size and type. I do know that the keepers have "round" type grooves.

Mancini's have them listed as the same replacement spring if I remember right. Given that I doubt their any better than magnum springs. Probably the same part. Comp has some beehive springs that'll work if you cut down the spring pad for increased installed height. That's something you almost always have to do anyway.
