ok swapping out my 225 for a 360 in a 72 swinger. Got a line on a 74 v8 k-member fully restored for 150. My question is this, has anyone used the Schumacher mount adapters, and if so, would you use the k-member or the adapters?
K member would definitely be more work then the mounts I have the schumacher mounts and they were easy to install and work great just a little expensive I think 185$ ish... My Answer to ur question would be if I were going to rebuild the front end or upgrade to disc like I am thks month then yes I would do k member but if just throwing the engine in then the mounts for sure
Definitely go w/the spool set up- if you ever want to put a swaybar on it, the later style is inboard and runs throught the K-member instead of out infront of it. Also, the later disc brakes won't hit the swaybar in this set up either
