Can I assume that when putting a late B Body Bench/Floor/non-Console Pistol grip Shifter into an A Body I use the A- Body shift rods (because its an A Body manual trans)?

I would also use a Hurst 6360 plate vs the stock B Body plate for mounting the shifter box, correct?

I know, seems obvious but I'd rather double check before I spend.

The only B-body part you use is the shift handle itself

I used all stock a-body stuff on my car, the bench seat pistol grip fits the car like a glove, it worked using my 1969 hurst shifter mechanism

Hmmm, the shifter box/mechanism?

A-body. The shift levers in the box are a different length. It would probably work, but the A-body part is correct. It’s just the shift handle you want.

At Brewer's, trying to translate this. I have the B-Body Shifter already ordered. Just stuck on the best mechanism.

I think its the SM4076P WITH ADAPTER BUSHINGS FOR OE LINKAGE, however, it does not say for "bolt on style pistol grip shifters" like the B-Body part does.
