Life's a Journey

-

This has got to be a great show !! Yes!! Life is a Journey!! Thank you for sharing.

We were a mile away but it was an awesome show none the less!! Played all their big hits other than "Who's Cryin' Now"

Nice night out. Why weren't ya'll right up front jammin'? All of the concerts I ever went to I was front and center enjoying the spoils :color:.

Of course that was waayyy back in the 70's, a whole different world ago.

Because Bruce, that was the difference of a $50 ticket and a $600 ticket!! Lol

I was just thinking tonight about how I'm sure the atmosphere is a LOT different than it was in the 70s n 80s! Far less sex n drugs I'm sure! Then it dawned on me that a lot of the ppl there possibly went to the shows in the 70s n 80s as well!! The audience was such a wide spread in age, from 60+ all the way down to probably a 8-10 year old boy I saw with his mom! Proof that journey is still "in"!!!

Holy WHAT?!?!?!?

Wow, 600 bucks a ticket, man I bet I have been to at least 30 concerts and I'm sure more than that. I'd have to sit and think about it, I don't believe I ever paid more than maybe 20 bucks and that was in the early 80's.

Most of the late 60's bands and all through the 70's bands (years of origin), I saw from the mid to late 70's were usually in the 8 dollar range. And that was right up front, actually you could pretty much just mill around and party with whomever you stumbled across, lol.

I'm in awe of those prices.

Anyway I hope you and the bride enjoyed it, nothing like seeing a good band live!

Oh yea! We definitely had fun! The bride was beaming from ear to ear the whole time Journey was on stage!! :D

Yea prices are pretty nuts anymore. For the most part cheapest tickets for any fairly known bands/singers are $40

That would be tolerable in today's market I guess, but 600, I'm still in awe. I about fell out of my chair when I read that.

We've seen Journey three times in the past few years plus a decent cover band, and I had seen them twice before we got married (once with Steve Perry and once with "the other Steve").

The 73 satellite was a big hit in the parking lot, at the last show, and I'm currently learning the bass line to "Who's Cryin' Now". It's pretty cool, and possibly my favorite bass line to date.

My wife started to get into them pretty hard core, learning the history of the Phillipino dude, watching several documentaries and even buying the newest album, which ain't too bad- sounds a lot like "Ask The Lonely", and with real positive type lyrics.

The phillipino guy is pretty good! He has a major accent when he talks but when he sings he sounds quite a bit like Steve Perry!

Joan Jett surprisingly still sounds the same! Often times it seems as when singers get older they just don't sound like they use to but she still sounds really good!

It's a shame that when the concert was over, you had to go your Separate Ways!!!! ;-)

Glad to hear you had a good time, and that the bride enjoyed it too!! You 2 are a very special couple!! :-)

Nice pun Geoffy! Lol!

Oh she was the one pushin to go! I woulda wanted to go to a Journey concert but would've boughten something for my Duster b4 buying a ticket but thanks to her we went!!

Yup! Bought me a pair of axle flanges on eBay last night so as soon as those come I can install my passenger side axle and set my car down on its own suspension for the first time in quite awhile!!
