Yup, sounds like Arkansas.

While in the Air Force I was transferred to Arkansas in 1996. Not Long after I arrived I was getting gas at a country gas station when a car pulls in on the other side of the pump.

Out jumps a young woman with no shoes, followed by 4 young kids with no shoes on!!

My first thought was, I guess what they say about Arkansas is true!!

I ended up marrying a girl from Arkansas....but she wore shoes, lol.

Edit: still married to her 26 years later.
