My girl and I woke up early (for a Saturday) and headed out to Lions (drag strip) Motorsport museum for a breakfast, auction, and swap meet down near Long Beach today. I had never been to the museum before and I’m always looking to buy cool vintage hot rod stuff so it was well worth the $20 to not only support the place, but to get a chance to buy stuff. I didn’t end up finding anything I couldn’t live without but I took a bunch of pics and thought I’d share. I was pleasantly surprised to see a BUNCH of the Cook family racing memorabilia there as I grew up with one of the Cook sons and got to see that stuff while it was still being raced, long before it was memorialized in a museum. I’m glad that family is getting the recognition they deserve and the cars are being saved. Enjoy.

The small block tach drive distributor almost came home with me for Chris’ duster. But it was frozen solid.
