I'm looking for a 1971 225 slant six and auto trans for column shift, in the northeast U.S.

I know it's a long shot, especially since there has not been a '71 225 for sale on this website in 8 years, but giving it a try...

you know there's nothing special about it being a '71 vs. a '73 vs a 69, etc....personally, I like the '75 up, because they redesigned the heads to get rid of the leaky spark plug tubes....

Ya, I saw that they added emissions stuff around those years too. A few years ago I bought a '70's car that had all the emissions equipment ripped out of it. Then in order for the car to pass inspection I had to buy all the components from different parts of the country and install the emissions system again, and then mess with the tuning to make the emissions system operate correctly. That also involved four trips to the emissions place after multiple failures. It wasn't fun. I'm hoping for a '71; my car originally had the old school basic system.

I still have the slant 6 that came out of my 71 sitting in the corner of my shop, just can't let myself throw it away for some reason.

technically the long block could be from any year, the carburetor is the only thing that should need to be 1971 specific.
