Looking for a complete 340 or long block

Hello,

I have a 1972 Gold Duster and the 225 has seized. I am planning to remove the engine, troubleshoot, and likely store it rather than repair at this time. My 904 may have been damaged as well - unknown at this time.

Anyway, given the situation, I would like to find a period (or close) 340 complete engine or long block (mild modifications would be fine - but very low budge' at the moment) to install as a driver. Hoping to locate in So Cal area (I am about 40 miles from LA - No, not to the West!) to minimize shipping expenses

May also be asking to locate a SB 727 in the near future - TBD.

Much further in the future is an A-833 with OD, although I was reading about these 340/416 stroker kits, and I think the trans application would have to be evaluated at that time. Neither time nor money for that right now...just dreamin'...

I just want to get back on the road.

if you are ojn a budjet,, a 340 will be out of your price range,,340s comand big bucks,,, 318s are out there and in all price ranges,, 360 are another way to go, both 318 or 360 are easier and cheaper to find,good luck
