Both my parents died from cancer and it's related effects on the body so this is close to home for me. Must say, I like my carbs and sweets and know it ain't good for me.
Hopefully someone will glean a bit of info that may help keep them healthy.

Last year when i went from 230 pounds down to 180, i just gave up eating ice cream, pizza, burgers, bread and butter, and smaller portions of many other things.
It took me 7 months to loose the weight.
50 pounds.
From April, to October 2023.
Eating smarter, eating better, and you do hafta do some form of exercise.
Just don't be a couch potato.
For me it was walking around my neighborhood, three times a day.
Each walk is one mile.
A morning walk, afternoon walk, and and evening walk.
My pace for the mile is 18 minutes, and around 2,200 steps, on the step meter.
I'm 71, and 5' 11"
The weight chart says it's an ideal weight for my age, and height.
Good luck to you, whatever you decide.
I continue to do all my walking, to keep the weight off, and not put it back on.

I just saw this in town this afternoon. Breast cancer awareness is it's purpose  We have an annual cruise here "Cruisin' for Life" raise money for cancer projects. Building in the background is a cancer treatment center.
