I know i have been told the crosswind is junk and Now i am wondering If I should port it to match my heads and open those ports so it breaths or Buy a M1 intake for my set up, what do you think?
60 bored .040 over
kb107 pistons
Magnum heads with what he told me are 2.02 valves. These were bought and checked for cracks..
They have 1.6 roller rockers.
The cam is a Xe274 with .524 ex and .521 intake lift with 1.6 rockers
It has Crosswind intake
It has a viscous fan and a under drive crank pulley also.

summit Headers,Header extensions, 3in X pipe to 2 chamber flows

The converter is said to be 3600-3800 stall...Not sure how to really tell
The gears are 4.10

And the carb is a BIGs 750 DP with 74 and 84 jets with a 6.5 PV and 9-10psi of vac in gear.

Im trying to get 12s and IF i do that i want mid 12s before I go to eddy heads or RHS heads

Nothing wrong with a Crosswind intake. The ports are slightly smaller than an Air-Gap so it favors the lower rpms more than the Air-Gap.

When you say M1 I am assuming you mean an M1 single plane the M1 dual plane is step backwards.

The decision to an M1 should be based on what you want out of the engine. If the car is primarily a street car then the Crosswind would be a better choice. If you are looking max power in the upper RPM range then the M1 may be an advantage.

Neither manifold..get yourself a "real" air gap..they get the job done and better then most single planes,,i've run 11.0's with a Edelbrock air gap on my 416,and dipped into the 11.70's with one on my stock stroke 360...and i actually race my car..:-D:-D

ya I want full power out of the motor...Low end isnt as big since I have 4.10 gears unless I can port the crosswind to match the M1 but have better low end
