I'm putting magnum heads on my 318 with an edelbrock performer and 650 carb. It's otherwise stock. Which cam would you guys use? It's just my sunny day driver, mild abuse but needs to be streetable, 3.55 rear, auto.

I thought it looked like a lot of duration but most of my cam swap experience is on Harleys so I don't really have any reference I guess. I'm hoping to get a decent education here before I buy one next week or so.

Won't that much duration on a stock block leave it kind of weak in the low end?
Just asking because I don't know. :D
It's basically very close to a 340 replacement. Also, the magnum heads will appreciate that cam in the upper rpm's. His 3.55's should help cure any "off idle concerns", and it will be very well behaved on the car cruises.... I've ran this cam before and it idles very well (really smooth)

Thanks for the info.

The @.050 numbers on Summit's website are incorrect. This is the paperwork that came with my cam.

correct. 220/224 at .050. This cam will work with manifolds and a good dual exhaust and of course headers are a plus.
