Sorry guys, I tried to research my issue through prior posts but just got confused. Need some help with motor mount brackets. I have a 67 cuda with a slant 6. I picked up a 73-76 V8 K frame, but it came with no mounts. I have a nice running 318 to slide in. My question is, do I need to find A-body specific spool mount brackets, or can I use others. My local U-pick it has a ton of F-body's with 318's and spool mounts, but no A-bodys. Can someone confirm if I can use them? The reason I'm thinking so is I saw the Schumacher kit for a big block spool K-frame was the same kit for A's and F's. I hope that makes sense. The other issue is with the idler arm and center kink. I have 73-76 UCA's and front disk setup with sway bar. Can I retain the 67 center link and idler arm?

thanks man...I appreciate someone shooting me straight...it's nice to have brothers like you to keep me from making a big mistake.

try looking on a place like rockauto for fitment. If the same brackets are listed for an F as for the 73-76 A's, then you should be good.

I believe they are the same.

You are going to need a '68-'72 idler arm since the '67 idler was a 1 year only and won't bolt to the '73 K frame. The rest of the steering stuff is a bolt in.
