My little brother (1958) and I (1955) were trying to remember which family car preceded the new white 1962 Chrysler New Yorker we so fondly remembered. Last week, we both came up with a blank.

Today, I remembered touching some big fins a long time ago that housed double cone shaped red taillights (kinda like Madonna's pointy bras). That wasn't a dream I had, that was my old memory banks kicking in to recall what must of been the missing car in our childhood--a 1959 Cadillac. Must of been, because Dad traded the New Yorker in when he purchased another Cadillac-a gold 1968 Fleetwood Brougham. That station wagon was the only vehicle that interrupted his lifetime stream of Caddies, before and after.

I prefer the laid down fins on the 59 & 60 Impalas & El Caminos.
