OK. Nobody here was aware, but I was having some real charging issues with my car. I installed an FBO Stage II ignition, and ever since have been getting REALLY high voltage out of my 100amp alternator.

My hunch was apparently right. The factory sense wire for the voltage regulator was hooked up to everything else on the fire wall. I think the addition of the high voltage FBO was putting a huge draw on the circuit, and making the regulator think it was low VDC. The battery was charging at over 16 volts!!!

I disconnected the voltage sense from the circuit, and ran it direct to the battery. After that it charged at a good steady 13.5vdc, even at substained higher rpms (3000).

That was all just for testing purposes. I have just purchased everything I need to install a full bassbar in the engine compartment. I'm also upgrading all the main power harness to 6awg with 60amp fuses (along with the charging wires).
