When my car was painted years back before I owned it, the passenger side fender PentaStar was not placed back on, and there is no hole currently there.

I'm looking for an original car with the correct dimensions to place the emblem back on. The plan is not to drill into the fender but rather use 3M trim tape to affix.

Thank you!

If you unbolt the bottom of the fender and look the previous holes are probably still there.

In an old Moparchat thread from 2002 I found this thread when I had the same question about placing the Pentastar on my B-body car. Interesting stuff…

“As for the Pentastar it was only used on the passenger side of the front fender of the car. This was a marketing ploy that was used by Studebaker and a few others over the years. The idea was a bit of advertising for free using a logo. Anybody walking down a sidewalk would be able to see the Pentastar and know that this was a Chrysler product. Metropolitan did the same thing with their cars. The logo wasn't used on the street side because traffic wouldn't be looking at the vehicle as it sat.”

Ricomondo,
I have one installed on my ‘71 Duster. I know the front ends aren’t identical but maybe close enough? Think it would be at all helpful to get you some measurements with a pic or two? Let me know and I could get that for you.

Hi Nick,

I think I will wait until I can get someone with a Dart or Demon to chime as I know for sure those will be the same. Thank you for the offer!

Hope these help, these are from my 71 demon. Centerline is just over 7” from the lower edge of the fender and about 5” from the back edge.

Let me know if you need additional measurements!

Hey no problem! Gorgeous car too btw.

@PlymCrazy - Thank you! It's a work in progress. Going through a mechanical restoration at the moment. Car was painted about 7 years ago, but was a mess mechanically; wiring, oil leaks, sloppy brakes, etc. Hoping to have it on the road again next spring?

Sounds like you’re on track!
