I bought this set of heavy duty anti pump racing lifters and have no idea of how to adjust these. The only thing I know is they are not the same as regular Hyd Lifters. And the seller notes say that adjustable rocker arms have to be used and to set them at .000/.002 or zero lash.

Help before I burn it to the ground, lol.:read2:

Yes I do they are the crane with the chrome molly push rods and I have installed the hyd. cam as well.

It's easiest with the intake off so you can see exactly where the cam lobe is in relation to the lifter and you can see the plunger in the lifter as well. But what you want to do is make sure whatever lifter you are adjusting is on the base circle of the cam, preferebly directly opposite the highest point of the cam lobe, but it doesn't have to be exact.

This is where I would adjust for about .002 to .004 clearance at the rocker tip, then tighten the adjuster while spinning the pushrod with your fingers. When you fell it dragging that's where you stop and tighten the adjuster lock nut. You may need to play with that a little but you'll get a feel for it. Don't be alarmed if the lifters are noisy though, they are bound to be when adjusted this way.

Okay, not your typical Zero Clearance setting. You have to be just applying .002 to .004 thousands to the preload of the lifter then, with minimal drag on the push rod correct? Seems very strange and hard to do. HYD. lifters are all negative lash including these right?

Oh I get what your saying now, thanks, confusing.

So with the lifter on base circle, get the gauge into place between rocker & valve tip and adjust just until I feel a slight drag on the push rod and tighten the lock nut. Simple but confusing. Let me know if this is what you mean?

By the way cool car dude, I would like to have a low tens car!

Thanks Guitar Jones.

I wont be having to listen to Nickleback Burn It To The Ground Tonight, lol
