This may sound crazy, but may fix it.

Brake light switch.

Have a 2003 dodge Caravan that was doing a Bump Shift between 1st & 2nd shifts for many years.

Talked to local trans shop, they did not know. He said they can pull it out and overhaul it, but it might do the same thing when done.

This year I was reading that the brake light switch kicks the transmission out of overdrive/lockup when you step on the brakes, communicating with the electronic shift transmission computer.

Turns out the faulty break light switch was the problem. Replaced the switch, and Dielectric grease on all 6 terminals and the plug.

Problem solved, shifting great now.

Electricity follows the path of least resistance, and these transmissions are dealing in milivolts so they are sensitive if the electrical connections are not 100% perfect.

Might try replacing your brake light switch they are cheep.
