Sorry about the double post, I posted this in the general off topic area by mistake.

After battling the flu the last few days I got out to try and start the Demon for the first time.

Nothing but bad luck.
First, I can't get any power at the key. Nada, Nothing. I check the wires and everything looks good. I even tried the neutral safety switch on the tranny. There is lots of power, as I crossed the solonoid and the starter kicked in no problem. The entire dash is not in the car, but I didn't think I needed everything. All the main plugin connectors are together at the firewall and at the steering column.

Second, While I was tracing down wires, I notice a water leak at the point where the block, head and intake meet. This one I can fix, it is hopefully a dried out gasket.

Other than that, no leaks so far.

I could really use some suggestions on the electrical end though. I don't know anything about electrical other than to hook a red wire to a red wire and follow directions.

Help please!!!!!

Add on..

And if your Ampmeter is hooked up, do you have 12Volts on the (+) terminal of the ampmeter which gets it's feed directly from your battery? Also check to ensure that "the" extra red wire at the (+) battery post is secure (this is the wire that runs straight to your ampmeter), however it should have a fusible Link on the run in your engine compartment.

this is a flew problem,So let.s take care of it first, then the demon will be fine.

sound's like Coyoty Jake red lighted. got out to soon or tryed to deep staged.

hope all is well.and injoy that demon.Memike still looken.

That was the problem. I went out to the garage for 5 minutes today. Hooked up the ammeter and bingo. Power at the key and fire at the plugs. Now if I can just shake this flu for good, I'll take care of the other problem.

Thanks Guy's

What..a flu in N.B.:sad4: ,.....Can that happen???? in -20 and five feet of snow :joker:
Hope your feeling better dude. :thumblef:

For a change we havn't had much of a winter here this year. Only one big storm, 18 inch's and it was gone in 4 days and not very cold by our standards. Right now it is above freezing and only 2 inches of snow on the ground.
I'll be back in the game soon. I HOPE!
