needing help please

ok im new to this so i dont know a whole lot...i have a 72 dart with a slant six 3 on the tree, i would like to go for a bigger engine but keep the 3 on the tree is this possible??, im currently wanting to put a 318 in it, will this or will this not bolt up to the transmission i have.if not what trani would be best?? and what mods would i have to make to my k frame??? any help is welcome, thanks alot

To put in the 318 you will need a v8 k-frame or conversion mounts from Schumacher.The /6 tranny will not bolt up so you will need a v8 904 or 727.I`m not sure if the column shift will work or not as I don`t think I have ever seen a v8 with that setup.
