This is a new never used part, I talked to the owner of Laysons who manufactures the Flip top caps for the resellers and he told me they're not using the pot metal to make their parts as was originally done but their own special alloy that won't start pitting like rechromed OEM parts do. The part is officially licensed mopar part.
